I've added your nick to my "buddy list", but somehow you never show online. I'm guessing it's an AOL setting keeping people who aren't on your own buddy list from seeing that you're online.

As it turned out, I had a misprint in his nickname on my buddy list.
However, AIM does that - there's a setting for it. :-D
