OK, I am a master procrastinator and I have LOTS of cleaning that needs to be done around the house. Who here has a method that works for them to get themselves off of their pituitaries and into cleaning mode?I just suggested to Gladrial that she and I "clean together" via the Internet - so I'm going to be posting some progress here in this thread and hopefully she will too. OK - my first task is to clean my bedroom; believe me, this is no small task! This could, literally, take all day! Here I go!

Ok, now all of you join us. Tell us what you are doing. I have just loaded the new "Snow White" DVD this insures cleaning time. This is the secret to motherhood, a good DVD collection for the child. Ok, now that is started and she has said "Go on mom and do your housework< I will hasten to make this quick post and then off to my deeds at hand. My first deed will be to unload and reload my dishwasher. What a feat! |

With kitchen chores well in hand, I moved to the dining room where I found 39 exploded, Dino Pellets that grow, that had either been soaked or were dripping wet all over the table so currently I am sqeezing out 39 Dino sponges and sopping up the residual properties. But all in all this room should be easy since it is hopeless anyway for this room. No mmatter how much glue, paint, crayons ,pom poms, clay or paper I pick up there is always more. YAY! Job Security for sure in this room. |

Ok ,now that that little Windex episode is over (let's keep that one quiet shall we?)I am moving to the back of my house where I will make my daughters bed, for her to mess it up again in 10 minutes and I will put away toys that will be back out to the middle of the floor in a matter of hours. Isn't this wearing you out yet? It does me. whew! |

Nah - I would be SO focused!I have a cleaning technique: I can pick up any mess that is in the room that I'm cleaning and I can just go dump it in any other room that I want, provided that said room is still on the cleaning list (meaning, I can't go dump stuff in a clean room - that would be working backwards). It works. :-) |

I know that technique "room dumping" and I love it and I use it. hahahaha For toys especially, I throw them in there and then handle it later. Later is now where I am at on it and I must tackle it. See you in a while when I re-surface from the child room. |

Birthday cards. Why can't I just throw these things away when I get them? There seems to be some sort of unwritten rule that you have to let them clutter your house for a couple of months, and THEN you can toss'em. |

Well, I made it of Xena's room out alive and proceeded over for the quick straighten on my bedroom. Candle in place. PJ's out. Quarter bounces on the bed. Inspection passed. Now to the living room/Den area where the DVD has stopped now and vacuuming and dusting have become a mainstay. Watch me go! |

Well, Day 2 and no one else is wanting to clean with me yet.*Sigh* I thought this could be way cool if we all did it. Flashpoint put your girl on to clean with me. Flarpo will your cat or, your posessed coconut monkey clean with me? Well, I am up at at em this morning for a record early bird time of 8:45. YAY! I have relatives passing through that will be here at 10:00 and guess what I didn't straighten a thing before bed so I am going to do the ten second tidy on each room and shower and then dress Xena and cook her breakfast while starting the spaghetti lunch I am feeding Mumsy and Pop. Ok, wella after that I am spending the afternoon with my granny who is a bit under the weather. C ya tomorrow for the continued clean- a - thon. Someone should join Ouro too and clean away until my return. Happy polishing! |

Ok, it is has been two weeks and I guess I should clean again so I thought I would revive the cleaning thread. I was just reading in Woman's day...and there was an article called "how to cheat on chores during the holidays", so of course I read the short article and it basically said (paraphrased): Don't clean during the holidays just turn the lights down low and light candles to hide your dust. How funny. |

Anyway, I am lighting all the candles I have to try to hide all the dirt...around here. Aww sheesh this isn't working...I just caught my dirty clothes pile on fire. ( got the candles too close I guess) Now that took care of that. Good thing I bought this fire extinguisher! Now look at this mess.

I have found that if I actually get away from my comp and put on a cd(on my comp...I am still one with my comp that way) I can clean my room and not feel like i'm neglecting my best friend.I do however find myself talking to my tower if the cd skips saying, "I love you...don't be angry or jealous that I am not giving you commands or not typing on the keyboard"...I finally found unconditional love...with my comp. =P |

I could prolly get this house cleaned for real if I could get off here once in a great while, but it so hard for me to do. (so why even try?)*giggle* Sometimes, I just leave the web up and clean some and then read some and I always leave the CD player going too. I count on mine for music in the kitchen. |
