Well the two girls just fought and it was really a pretty good fight. Christy won and Lisa lost but with a little work Lisa will be a champ one day. Now the next fight is on and it is rather boring so I thought I would come here and make my predicition about who will win tonight, between Rahman the American who took the title last time, and Lennox Lewis. Now I have to make a decision. I have enough faith in Lennox Lewis to say right now that... he will win it back tonight! Ok, I said it. I stuck out my neck now we will just have to see what happens. There are 2 more fights before the main event. I happen to really like both these fighters, Lewis and Rahman so as a fan of boxing, for sure I am in a win, win situation. :) Any one else care to predict the winner?

At first I thought you were talking about an episode of The Simpsons. You must be talking about boxing, eh??? Why do boxers always have names like, "Lennox Lewis"? Why not, say, "Les Nessman"? |

I have this thing about it. I always predict the winner and I am almost always right. Once again, I really did predict correctly not that anyone cares. hahahahahahah Lewis is the man! He is the best boxer and he continues to earn my respect. Next he may fight Mike Tyson. We will see, that one will be hard to predict for sure. |

Ugh.I'm sorry, but boxing is not a sport. Olympic kick-boxing, yes - but not boxing. Two guys who get in a ring and hit one another in the head until one of them falls down...um...a sport? Pro-boxing people will tout the skills involved - yet the skills, as compared to legitimate martial arts are minimal - and in legitimate martial arts there's kind of a code: everyone is responsible for everyone else's safety. In the NBA, if Karl Malone knocks someone out he gets fined and a suspension. When boxing evolves to this level of professionalism, I'll give it attention. (Sorry Glad. ;-) ) --Ouro |

I really feel that the sport of boxing does have a code. The referee does stop the fight if it becomes a danger to a fighters health in the ring. I understand the finesse of kick boxing is much more appealing to you, but there is a lot more involved in boxing than you are giving it credit for. They can only use their hands yes, but only a certain part of the hand, and they can hit anywhere in the allowed zone on the body or head just like kick-boxing, not just the head, like you stated. Ha! In fact, a lot of really good fighters in regular boxing use body punches to win. (ever had a shot to your liver?, it has an after effect of 20 seconds)My friend is 6th degree black belt in kick boxing and I have been to lots of local matches. I assure you that it can be very dangerous as well, and people do get hurt in all these types of contact sports. Basketball isn't boxing so they should be fined when contact was deemed against the rules by the officials of the game. Boxers should be fined when they break the rules of their sport. Some skills involved are hand speed, footwork, ring generalship, defense, and overall stamina. I can see these skills used in both sports. I guess on this one we will have to agree to disagree. It happens. haha I see regular "kick bootie" boxing as a "sport" and it is recognized in the Olympics as such, is it not? Both sports require proper energy direction, winning attitude, and well practised offensive and defensive skills. All in all I give both sports a 10. I love them both.
