At my work there is a team investigating paranormal activity happening in our building and the building next door. Apparently there is a recording of child screaming and things have been going on like lights switching off and voices and people being heard when no one is around. The history of the land shows it was a Pa - which is basically a Maori village. Apparently the place was attacked and the women and children were killed. Now some people believe that their unrested spirits are haunting TVNZ.I'm not sure what to think really, whilst I was working late at nights in the office the lights did keep going out. But I assumed it was a cleaner or a light fault. What do you guys think about ghosts, haunted land, unrested spirits etc?

My house is haunted as was the house I first lived in in Norwalk California. The ghost's her, a man and a woman don't do much other then move things around or tap you on the head when you are sleeping. A few months ago the man was pissed at my mom for something and was throwing beer tops at her. The ghost in my house in Cali was a mean bastard. He did all kinds of wierd shit like strangle people & crap, just plain mean.My sister lives on old land and a year ago her ghost threw a vase across the room at a wall...they ended up finding an old cabin buried on thier prperty. and after that is when the activity started happening. I don't know why ghost's linger or nothing but I think if you ackowledge them they are all good. (BTW Kat, I am so glad you are still here my Ben Wa Ball Lover! :) ) |

Actually one guy I know embraces the whole thing quite wholeheartedly. He's convinced that there's a Maori boy in the closet who got upset at losing his broom or something so the whole family moved into the closet. I find it all very funny but my friend is easily spooked and she walks the long way round now!Doesn't it come down to your beliefs about life after death? I mean, my old pastor would say that these 'spirits' are actually demons imitating real people. If you believe in angels do you believe in their opposite which I suppose are demons? Or are they actually unrested souls? Its so hard to know what to think or believe about the supernatural. |

Well, this is hard to tell about but, I will share it with you. My uncle was paralyzed on one side and drank a lot and always paid me to ditch his whiskey bottles for him so relatives wouldn't know he was drinking. So after school to get extra money ,I would always walk out of my way to go over to his house and see if he needed me to trash any for him and he would give me 50 cents and I could buy a coke. I then took them and threw them away somewhere other than his trash can. When I was 23 my uncle died suddenly with a heart attack and he willed me a house trailer(yes a house trailer,LOL) on some land. So I said Yay!, free place to live and I moved in. My son's 6th birthday came up and we were having a party for him. I saw my uncle's ghost glide by during the party smiling as huge as could be at me. I looked at my 6 year old and said "Did you see that? He said "Yes, mommy I did, it was Uncle Julian." We just sat there stunned with chills. We were the only two sitting there at the table at the moment. I am so thankful I wasn't the only one who saw it. So, I definitely believe that the spiritual form of a person is just another very real form of a person, just as there can be liquid, ice or vapor all out of the same substance, water. I never saw him again so maybe he got on the real place he was supposed to be going or maybe he just headed for the Carribean and hangs out there now. It just makes sense to me that the spiritual form of someone can get lost just like we can get lost going somewhere today in solid form. I think that when a person's life is taken very quickly that the soul or spirit can get confused. My friend's mother was always very much like she was my own. About a year ago she told me of her near death experience she had when she was a child. She actually died on the operating table and was brought back to life. Since then, she can see an Aura around people when she looks at them. She said she can know right off the bat if people are good or evil be viewing their Aura(sorry if that is not spelled right) She also said she was called to a light...a glowing light. So I think that there is somewhere the soul is supposed to be led off too with that light and maybe some people don't see that light or maybe they are stubborn like me and just don't do what they ought to all the time. |

I don't believe anything. Either I know something, or I don't.:-) (Makes life one whole lot less complicated.) If there are ghosts, a whole lot of carrots are going to be haunting me.... |

" I don't beleive in anything, either I know something or I don't" Ouro. That is a very interesting statement. I'm gonna have to ponder that 'cuz that sums up my feelings on a great many issues. ** zombie chews on that Food for thought**

But you can't know everything. So if you know not of a sunset does that make non-existent? Of course not. So remain open minded , my fellow man, there is much more to be known than what we know now. |
