Just found this info.....
Rock singer Ozzy Osbourne, recovering from a quad bike crash, is conscious and joking in his hospital bed, his daughter Kelly said tonight.
The 55-year-old veteran rocker is still in intensive care and cannot speak after undergoing emergency surgery and being put on a ventilator.
But it has not stopped the notorious Brummie artist and star of MTV reality show The Osbournes from playing up and moaning.
Speaking to reporters outside Wexham Park Hospital, Slough, where her father is being treated for a fractured neck vertebra, eight fractured ribs and a broken collarbone, Kelly said he was on the mend.
“I want to say that he’s stable. He woke up today – he couldn’t talk because of the tube in his mouth, but he was able to mouth words.
“He told us that he loved us.”
Tearful Kelly managed a laugh when she said: “He has been complaining about the nurses, so we know he’s all right.
“He gave me the ’thumbs-up’ and stuck his tongue out at me.
“That was it really, he can’t really speak because of the tube.”
When asked how she was feeling, Kelly looked very emotional and said: “Not good.”
Of Ozzy’s wife Sharon, who flew in to visit him from Los Angeles on Tuesday, she said: “As well as can be expected.”
Asked what she she knew of the accident at Osbourne’s £3 million Berkshire country mansion near Chalfont St Giles Kelly said: “Only that he was on a quad bike.
“He was in a field and there was grass covering a hole and the bike went in the hole and fell on top of him.
“But I don’t know 100% if that’s exactly what happened.”
Blood vessels to his left arm were crushed in the accident when the bike rolled on top of him. He had managed to stagger back to his house to alert staff.
Surgeons said the damage had been repaired and that his neck injury was not dangerous. They said they expected his improvement to be steady.
Outside the hospital, medical director Dr Dick Jack said they had hoped to remove the ventilator tube today but would now be waiting for another 24 hours.
Dr Jack said: “He knows where he is, he’s comfortable and he’s stable. But as I said yesterday, his progress will be slow and we don’t expect any major changes until Friday.”
Tour manager Bill Greer said the family was very moved by the number of cards, flowers and messages sent by well-wishers.
“It has touched their hearts that so many care about his condition,” he added.
Osbourne had taken the time off to ride the quad bike after promoting his Christmas single – a duet version with daughter Kelly of his old Black Sabbath song, Changes.
